These past couple of weeks have seen movement in the rank and file at Rivers Unit. 

 

Luke Pinner stood down after over 3 years as a Team Leader (TL) (thanks Luke!), with Graeme Billett being ‘promoted’ from his position as a Deputy Team Leader (DTL) to take over from Luke in the TL position.  Colin Pedersen, a Rivers member with one and half years as a volunteer in the ACTSES, then got the job of DTL to fill in behind Graeme.

 

Dave Satchell was made both the Unit’s OH&S Officer and First Aid Officer after Bec Noble and Martin Harris resigned from these roles.

 

Shane Johnson, who has been doing a cracker job as the Rivers Brigade (an entity that combines Rivers SES and Rivers Bushfire Brigade) Treasurer was unanimously re-elected in to the job at the Rivers Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday Night (17^th Aug 09).

 

Vicki Munslow remains as the Rivers Unit Commander after the conclusion of the 2009 Commanders election round. The 6^th December this year will mark her eighth straight year as the Commander of Rivers and is already the second longest serving Commander in the ACTSES.

 

The Deputy Commander position along with the two TL positions, the two DTL positions, the Admin Officer, the Training Officer, the Equipment Officer, the OH&S Officer and the First Aid Officer will be up for re-election in Aug 10.
