Last night, the 2008 ACTSES Honours & Awards Ceremony was held at The Canberra Hospital (TCH) Auditorium.  ESA Commissioner, Gregor Manson, presented a number of ACTSES members, including 4 from Rivers Unit, with various awards in acknowledgment of their contribution to the ACTSES and the community.

Don Roach, a dedicated Rivers Unit member who has led teams in the field and who also acts as the Unit Equipment Officer, was the Rivers Unit recipient of the ACTSES Chief Officer's Commendation for Diligent Service (attachment).  Leigh Kefford, an ex Rivers Unit member who relocated to Queensland over a year ago, was acknowledged for his ongoing and tireless efforts in developing and maintaining this very web site (attachment)!

Rebecca Ruth Pond received an award for 5 years of service and Rohan Geddes received a letter of appreciation for 1 year of service.

Well done to all Rivers Unit award recipients!
