We have tried to include a heap of different and relevant information about Rivers Unit, the ACT SES and some other topics of interest. In Brief...

We have about 30 members (as at 1 Jul 09), have an average age of 33 and are about a 50/50 split of males to females. Our base is located on the Cotter Road – just behind Narrabundah Hill in Duffy. We train in a number of emergency services skill sets and are ready to deal with almost any kind of emergency. Our Unit specialist function is airbase operations: working with helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft mainly during aerial bushfire-fighting operations.
